Dr Jamsheed Peeroo

Secretary-General

Jamsheed Peeroo is a dual-qualified barrister practising from 36 Stone in London as well as at the Mauritian Bar. He also sits as arbitrator.

He has worked extensively on commercial and investment arbitrations and cross-border litigation from Paris, Mauritius and London and has been described on Legal 500 as “first-rate” and on Chambers & Partners as “a very well-respected arbitration practitioner internationally”.

Jamsheed has been involved in high-profile disputes across the African continent. His practice covers various sectors including energy, mining, construction, infrastructure, fisheries, pharmaceutical, shipping, finance, offshore corporations and trusts, and telecommunications and IT.

Jamsheed studied law (LLB) at Cardiff Law School, International Business Law at University College London, and Private International Law at the Sorbonne Law School (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) where he also wrote his PhD.

In addition to his busy practice, Jamsheed teaches in the International Business Law LLM of University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
